Rio, not Sky
So I named the puppy Rio instead of Sky. It would seem people felt Sky was too girly. And now that I've had two months with him I can't imagine him as anything other than Rio anyway, so it fits great. Turns out when I went to New Mexico to pick him up the breeder lived one street away from the Rio Grande River, and the street next to their was called Rio Bravo, and he DOES have that little river of white on his head back to his shoulders and Rio had been on the short list of names..so I went with what the universe was trying to tell me and I'm glad I did. It fits him great.
He's 17 weeks old now and has one brown eye with a blue freckle in it and one half/blue and half/brown eye that's making its way slowly to all blue methinks. He is a pistol, full of ridiculous, inexplicable bouts of energy and craziness. He hated cuddling at first and now like it. He is still quite clumsy. We are in the middle of puppy kindergarten right now and the first two weeks we were asked to stay after because he was rough housing too much with the other puppies. My family teased me we were sent to the GAP, which at Santa Fe Junior High School, meant where all the degenerates went when they throw staplers at the teachers and such. He plays better now with other puppies but he still has a tendency to bowl everyone and everything over in his exuberance.
Have had some major house problems in the past three weeks, which I will write about at a later date. For now, just a quick catchup and some photos of furface.

Hey, welcome back! Been missing you. You called him furface, LOL, that's what we call our cat. Rio is a real cutie. We'll be in Estes Park (Sans Olsons) July 12-17, same big house. COME :) Granny
